The pizza is not cheap here for Italian standard BUT I must say it is special and lighter and the tomato sauce is never acid. Local wine is affordable. Great location with seats inside and outside opposite one of my favorite churches
What a wonderful place to grab some absolutely ridiculous pizza. The ricotta stuffed crust was shockingly good, the staff very happy, helpful and passionate about their craft.
Pizza is delicious but one of the waitresses really has to have some training on how to handle customers.
I was not sure on which (non-alcoholic) beverage to pick. She recommended a "virgin mojito", I gladly accepted as I am all in for staff's suggestions.
What she didn't tell me is that it was an energy drink and not a regular soda, and I just found out after I opened the bottle (yes I know, I could have looked earlier but it never crossed my mind that they would have an energy drink in the menu - maybe in Italy it is common?!).
When I politely told her I didn't drink it because it was an energy drink, she got (really) pissed, turned her back to me and walked away. I was speechless. She then came back like a little spoiled brat and gave me an attititude, not even wanting to hear my explanation (that she should warn clients that it was an ENEGY DRINK and not a soft drink).
She charged for it anyways (!) and I objected. She then walked to the manager, talked to him, came back sulking and aggressively removed it from the bill. The manager also didn't apologize either, as if just accepting the situation so I would shut up and leave.
It's a pity, this girl conpletely ruined an otherwise great experience with a delicious pizza.
Would I come back? NO
Would I recommend it? NO
Bad service is something, being plain rude with a customer is a whole new level of terrible service.
Worse pizza I’ve ever had. Filtered water was $2.5. The flavor was burnt.
I don’t recommend this place at all. Def top 5 worst places I’ve eaten at in my life

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Fermento 1889, a pizzeria in Florence, Italy, and it was an absolute delight! Their pizza carbonara was truly outstanding. It was a heavenly combination of flavors that left me craving for more. Additionally, I must mention their specialty pizza, "La Ketty," which was a culinary masterpiece. Fermento 1889's attention to detail and the quality of their ingredients truly shone through in every bite. The charming ambiance of the pizzeria added to the overall experience, making it a memorable evening. If you find yourself in Florence, make sure to visit Fermento 1889 and indulge in their remarkable pizza carbonara and the unforgettable "La Ketty." Trust me, it will be a dining experience you won't soon forget!
Do not miss this place!! Best pizza we've had! All woodfired pizza's and made so quickly. Accommodated a vegan request with utilising vegan cheese I had brought. You have to have the verace/neopolitan base. Couldn't recommend this place more highly. Staff had great English and a menu in English too. Excellent value, but make sure you make a reservation as it's small and busy!!
One of the best pizzas tasted in Firenze 😍 the special homemade dough is just amazingly soft & delicious. They have a wide range of pizzas, with generous and flavorful fillings. Also try the sweet pizza if you can, it's a delight! …
We actually went to this place twice it was so good. It is a slightly more modern experience compared to the typical Firenze establishment but don't let that fool you. This was the best pizza we had while we were there. Lots of flavors to choose from but all of them are anchored by their excellent bread. The "Murder, She Wrote" was my favorite
